What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Who we share your data with and How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
Your contact information
Your contact information may be shared with suppliers that are related to the requested trip, such as airlines, transport companies and other related suppliers. When sharing your information with third parties, we require them to take care of your data and not use it for marketing campaigns.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Your data will be used to send you travel proposals and other promotions eventually, your data will also be transferred, minimally to the PERU HCT group to offer you proposals about products and services that you have requested.
Policy Updates
It is our power to change the privacy policies at any time, so we ask you to constantly check if they have been updated. But if the changes are extensive and significant we will let you know via email.
What Are Our Commercial Conditions?
When a visitor is interested in any of our packages or programs, they can communicate through the general contact form, from the “Quote” button within each program or through the chat widget on the website. These communications are received by the sales and reservations team to be attended to.
Confirmation
Our Booking in Lima will send you a status with our “F-XXXX” locator; in addition, with the services and hotels OK, WL or RQ. It will also send the train schedule and the time limit or release for ticketing.
Note: To confirm trains, pre-payment of 20% (non-refundable) is required. Once everything is confirmed and the booking is confirmed, you will only have to issue a general services voucher for the relevant program and category.
NOTE: Remember to ask about the option to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu, as the tickets for these sites have to be bought with the entrance to Machu Picchu.
Prices
The program prices are stated in U.S. dollars; they are NET per person. The prices are subject to change, for this reason we reserve the right to change any quoted price.
Guides’ language
There is no additional charge for guides in English and Spanish. In any other language there will be an extra charge, which will be quoted and advised when requesting this service.
Payments and prices
Once you have received confirmation of your booking and before your customers’ arrival, our accounts department will send you the invoice for payment. Tickets for Huayna Picchu, Inca Trail and trains must be paid for in advance and are non-refundable.
Payments for the services or packages quoted will be made via bank transfer or payment by credit card using the platform NIUBIZ PAGO LINK, only, after accepting the quote proposed by the booking team.
Cancellations and Refunds
Cancellations and requests for refunds must be made in writing. The following terms apply:
- If you cancel 25 days in advance, you will receive a full refund less administration charges, and less any cost or penalty that airlines, hotels or other services consider non-refundable. This does not apply to the Belmond and Inkaterra hotel chains, where a charge applies to cancellations made between 45 and 30 days before arrival, as well as Camino Inca and any others indicated when applicable services are confirmed.
- For cancellations made less than 25 days and up to 10 days before departure date, 5% of the quoted price will be deducted, plus other unrecoverable costs from airlines, hotels and other payments.
- For cancellations made less than 10 and up to 3 days before the start date, a charge equivalent to 10% of the cost will be deducted, plus other unrecoverable costs from airlines, hotels and other payments.
- No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than 3 days before services begin or for no-shows.
Once the services begin, the unused portions of services will not be refunded under any circumstances.
