The last bastion
It was discovered 60 years before the citadel of Macchu Picchu, but it did not acquire great transcendence in the world. However, recent archaeological discoveries in nearby areas have captured the attention of archaeologists, international journals and travelers from around the world, making Kuelap the most important tourist hub of the northern corridor of the country. In this zone was developed the pre-Inca culture Chachapoyas (800 D.C.), characterized by its great military development; were conquered by the Inca Tupac Yupanqui in the fifteenth century. It possesses an impressive archaeological complex, the great variety of samples of its work are reviewed exhaustively by the specialists.
